Developing people
SITA UK has run a successful Graduate Scheme since 2007, recruiting and training new talent into the organisation and industry. To date we have trained 10 general management graduates through the scheme, all of whom are still employed at the company.
The scheme will now focus on training two existing SITA UK employees in new waste management technologies in the processing engineering sphere. The comprehensive training will cover current and developing treatment and processing technologies, including energy-from-waste and anaerobic digestion.
At SITA UK we believe that training, demonstration and instruction are the best tools that we can provide to help our employees learn the skills to use in their future career and we encourage everyone to adopt a lifelong approach to learning in their professional development. Throughout the scheme, employees will work to a specifically designed internal and external training plan consisting of both practical and theoretical based skills.
The scheme will re-open to external candidates in 2011.
