With our new education pack, we hope to promote a new set of 3 R’s – reduce, reuse and recycle!
Written with the help of professionals in the education sector, the free pack contains a teacher's guide, an informative poster and activity sheets, and is complimented by a look at the waste journey and an interactive game on this website, all in line with Key Stages 2 and 3 of the National Curriculum.
Awareness of environmental issues has never been more important than it is today. With this pack, SITA UK aims to encourage a sense of responsibility for the natural environment whilst considering the impact that humans have on the Earth’s resources and on all living creatures.
The pack highlights the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling products and materials, and encourages a change in attitude and responsibility towards the earth and its resources. It asks pupils to consider how the earth sustains humans, and identify the steps we can all take to play a part in sustainability, the 3R’s and sorting at source.
SITA UK's Green Team
SITA UK's Green Team are animated characters designed to compliment and help re-inforce school-based learning. The team - Josh, Suzie, Ali and Milly - introduce viewers to the waste journeys (paper, glass, aluminium, plastic, composting, landfill and energy-from-waste), a recycling game, and some colour & keep prints.
