However, we still regard the landfilling of residual, non recyclable, non recoverable waste as an essential element of any integrated waste management infrastructure.

As part of our continuous development programme, we established SITA Power to capture landfill gas and use it as a source of energy. SITA Power is now one of the largest generators of electricity from landfill gas in the UK.
