SITA UK and Catalyst Lend Lease join forces to bid for UK waste management projects

Recycling and waste management company, SITA UK, is teaming up with Catalyst Lend Lease, the public private partnership infrastructure specialist, to bid for a number of PPP waste management contracts in the UK.

The two leading companies will combine their experience, knowledge, skills and services to provide turnkey packages individually tailored to suit local authorities’ waste strategies and environmental expectations. These services will include funding, design, construction and long-term operation of large-scale municipal and commercial waste treatment and recycling plants.

"We’re excited about the opportunities that working with SITA UK will bring for both companies," said Bevan Watson, Director of Catalyst Lend Lease’s waste business. "We plan to work in partnership, building on our respective track records with local authorities and commercial clients, offering them a choice of cost effective and sustainable solutions that will meet their waste disposal targets for many years to come."

John Scanlon, Business Development Director of SITA UK, commented: "We are looking forward to partnering with CLL on a number of the PPP contracts that we are pursuing. SITA UK's experience in providing innovative recycling and waste management solutions, coupled with the wide PPP experience that both companies have, will ensure that together we can offer value for money solutions that achieve the results our customers are looking for."

Established in the 1990s, Catalyst Lend Lease now has a £2.3 billion capital value portfolio of PPP investments in the UK. These include hospitals, schools and government offices. Its construction partner, Bovis Lend Lease, is one of Britain’s biggest contractors, with a 120-year history of building large and complex projects for public and private sector clients. Catalyst Lend Lease and Bovis Lend Lease are wholly owned subsidiaries of Lend Lease Corporation of Australia, a global integrated property business with a strong commitment to delivering safe and sustainable developments.
