SITA UK strengthens its in-house communications team

Leading recycling and resource management company, SITA UK, has strengthened its communications team with the appointment of a new Head of Communications and a new Customer Communications Manager.

Head of Communications, Naomi Jones, 28, will be responsible for providing strategic direction to the company’s communications activities and will lead the seven-strong in-house team.

Anthony Durston, 35, has been appointed Customer Communications Manager and will be responsible for all customer-focused activity.

Commenting on the creation of the new roles, David Palmer-Jones, Chief Executive Officer of SITA UK, said: "The profile of the recycling and waste management industry is higher than ever and we need to ensure we communicate as effectively as possible. We also have an ambitious development plan, which the communications team will help us to deliver."

Naomi joins the company from international PR consultancy, FD International, where she worked as an Associate Director for three years in the Corporate PR division. Anthony has worked at SITA UK for the past two years, following stints at the SITA Trust, the SOFA Project in Bristol and Camargue Communications.
