Strong demand for SORT IT!* centre tours

SITA UK is organising behind-the-scenes tours at two of the four SORT IT!* Centres it operates on behalf of South Gloucestershire Council and demand has been so strong that the majority of places have been snapped up.

Sarah Ottaway, SITA UK’s Waste Minimisation Manager said, “We are delighted that so many residents in South Glos want to find out what happens to their rubbish and recycling once it leaves their doorstep.”

"Any other local residents interested in attending one of the SORT IT!* Centre tours will have to move quickly as they must be pre-booked and there are only a few places remaining”, added Sarah.

The tours are available to South Gloucestershire residents only (children must be over five years of age) and will run between 17:30 and 19:00.

Six tours have been organised, but spaces only remain for the sessions at Yate on Wednesday 6th June and at Mangotsfield on Tuesday 19th June.
