Recycling and refuse collection

SITA UK collects recycling and waste from 10 million households.

We collect paper, cans, plastics, cardboard and glass, as well as general waste. We also provide a green waste collection service to a number of authorities.

We can offer a variety of collection options based on the needs of the local authority. These can range from a collection sack system for paper, through to a box collection system for a wider range of recyclables, to households being provided with a dedicated wheeled bin for virtually all their recyclables.

Our fleet of collection vehicles can help councils to meet KPIs, as we have sophisticated systems in place to manage compliance, maximise the operational efficiency of our fleet and minimise the environmental impact of our collection vehicles. We are also trialling alternative fuels in our collection vehicles to reduce their carbon footprint.
