Binn Farm gasification facility
SITA UK is proposing to develop a gasification facility at Binn Farm, near Glenfarg in Perthshire. Before submitting a planning application, SITA UK is keen to consult widely with the local community.
Over 150 people attended a series of public exhibitions in Strathmiglo, Glenfarg and Abernethy in June to find out more about SITA UK’s plans and to leave feedback about any issues that they would like us to take into account as we develop our planning application.
Copies of the exhibition panels and a newsletter distributed to local residents before the exhibition can be found below, both containing detailed information on the proposals and contact details for more information.
There is still time for anyone wishing to comment on the proposals to send in their feedback. Please fill out the comment form below and return it no later than 31 July 2010 by email to binnfarm@sita.co.uk or by post to Martin Cracknell, Strategic Development Manager, SITA UK, Unit 7 Altec Centre, Minto Drive, Aberdeen AB12 3JZ
SITA UK will then take all of the feedback into account before submitting the full application to Perth and Kinross Council, planned for the end of September 2010.
Once submitted, members of the public will then have another opportunity to comment on the application directly to the Council before the application is considered for approval.
